Lit Review

A Lit Review Should:

  • Compare and Contrast Authors views on the topic
  • Show authors that come to the same conclusion
  • Shows different authors studies
  • Patterns and trends

Purpose of :

  • Defines the problem you are answering
  • Places your works in historical perspective
  • Evaluate promising research methods

Basically the paper should show that you are presenting new information into your field of study and show what information has already been presented.

How to Write a Literature Review:

Goals- To:

  • Give a clear answer to your research question
  • show what research has been done and what further research could be done
  • Research Hypotheses
  • Create new questions

 The writer should develop an outline for the lit. review.
